Christmas is here, and we are coming to the end of another year on a high note after a successful Campaign to raise unrestricted funds through the Big Give Campaign.

We took part in the Big Give Christmas campaign to further support the violence against women and girl’s (VAWG) advocacy project we currently provide. The project engages and empowers girls and young women aged 16 - 26 who are experiencing or have experienced gender-based violence against them. Through collaborative assessment, person centred and trauma informed support, and advocacy, we ensure they know their rights and can recognise and address VAWG.

The Big Give Christmas campaign gives charities the chance to receive match funding which means every £1 donated is match funded. After a busy few months of planning social media content and events to highlight that we were taking part we are so very pleased to have reached our target of £5,000.

The donations made through the Big Give Campaign are unrestricted funds which means they can be used in the areas that the VAWG project most needs.

3000 VAWG offences are committed each day in the UK. At least 1 in 12 women will be a victim of VAWG each year, with the exact number expected to be a lot higher.

Whilst the Big Give Campaign is over for another year, we always need your support to continue our work empowering women, young people, and families, you can do this by donating through our webpage or collecting non-perishable food/ warm clothing to drop off at our centre.
